This isn’t really about the Sandwich Generation, but, I wanted to share this story (has sound) of how Good Morning, America’s Robin Roberts approached losing her hair to chemotherapy.

I thought it was inspiring, and, I wish her the best.

Whoever makes her wigs does a really good job. I wasn’t sure that she was wearing one.

Through this journey, many women have found strength to continue the battle by using “complementary” or “integrative” (NOT ‘alternative’) therapies. I run one such department in a hospital and teach the skill of “oncology massage” nationally. How about if you have a guest on your show that talks about “the OTHER journey through cancer?”

I MISSED THE PART OF THE SHOW ON APRIL 21 WHERE I GUESS SHE MADE HER ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT A “CHANGE”. TUNED IN TODAY, TUESDAY, APRIL 22 AND THERE SHE WAS WITH CLOSE CROPPED HEAD. I’M ASSUMING IT’S TO DO WITH SOME CANCER-RELATED TREATMENT AND WISH HER ALL OF GOD’S ANGELS TO BE WITH HER DURING THIS TIME.
AS ALWAYS, SHE LOOKS GREAT REGARDLESS OF WHAT’S ON HER HEAD!

  13. Sue Benton says:

Robin you are an inspirational woman who has touched my heart during your treatment. I love watching you and Diane on Good Morning America, you work great together.
I have a friend who is battling breast cancer and I use you as an example of being a survivor all the time.
You looked great with your wig and greater without your wig. Shows that you are a winner, in my book.
