Research has confirmed what many women already know: that gossip can feel good. A new study says that “progesterone plays an important part in social bonding and also makes women more willing to help other people in trouble.” While the medical world already knew that progesterone helped women fight disease, this is the first study that shows gossip and chatting with girlfriends could actually help “stimulate its production.”

So the next time your husband complains about how much you chat with your girlfriends, tell him you’re taking care of your health!
