Have trouble binding your quilt or fabric art pieces?  I’ve generally find other ways to finish my work other than doing a separate binding.

Shelly Q, at Quilted Paradise, has written an excellent tutorial, The Finishing Touch, about bindings.  It’s complete with phots that explain the process.  Take a look.

This is a great tutorial. It also answers my question about bias vs straight binding, and the method she’s using doesn’t take as much fabric.

I always buy extra fabric, and I never want to use it all – for SOMEDAY I might want to use it again. How about a post on how frugal quilters are – we save scraps!

  2. Jean, I’m pleased you found this tutorial helpful. It’s rewarding when I learn I’ve helped other quilters.

Thanks, too, for your suggestion about a post on frugal quilters. This gave me the idea for a regular post about Frugal/”Green” quilting tips.
