Green Roof Home + Alaska + Me = Fate

Remember the Alaska Beauty I recently posted? Maybe not since not one person commented on it! I however am obsessed with this house. Just the other day I found another photo of it purely by chance. At least I think it’s the same house — it looks like it from the green roof. It must be fate. I am fated to own this house. Or else it’s just a wildly popular Alaska haunt.

This shot of my fate house is lovely. Here you can see that I would have a lot of gardening to do. I’d probably need to quit writing and do nothing but garden. It might be worth it.

Isn’t that beautiful!!?! I saw the other one you posted, but was too busy gazing in wondered bliss to comment! Spending all your day gardening really isn’t a bad way to live, besides you’d have 6 months of winter to write… :^)

I do remember you showing it previously. :0)

I must say, this picture is spectacular! I could find myself lost in the garden for days, weeks, perhaps even months! I do say, however, if you own the garden, don’t give up writing. :0@ You’ll need to hire some wonderful woman from Wyoming who has a green thumb like you’ve never seen before. It would be a small price to pay.

and what a great time you would have swatting hte mosquitos in the summer and shoveling the snow in the winter…

  4. Hey all, you know I forgot about the six months of winter. One of my best friends is from Alaska and she loves it but I don’t think I could take all the snow. I would like to visit though and then maybe snatch the home and move it to Oregon. Also, I could possibly give up writing if I was independently wealthy. Sadly, I’m not so much. Guess I could always sell those garden goods.

    um…where is the front door?

  6. Maybe you burrow under the house like a little garden rabbit. Actually, I think it’s around the side.
    Thanks for stopping by. :)

This is definitely a good use of available space. It helps the environment and provides for the future of mankind. Kudos!!

  8. The nature is truly beautiful. I love the green roof on top of the house/cottage. I had seen some home renovating their roof to go green in and around Chicago but I didn’t expect to see one in Alaska1! Thanks for sharing.
