Green Solar City In The Middle East

The future may soon be here. Well, in 2015 that is. That may be some seven years away but seven years would not be too long, you’ll see.

Anyway, imagine living in a place where there is no carbon, no waste, and no cars. Sounds heavenly to those who are concerned about going green. Well, this place does not exist as of present but it soon will be built.

Just right near the Abu Dhabi International Airport, there is this city that would be called as Masdar City and it is part of the country’s plans to have what the world would come to look at as the greenest city in the whole globe. This soon-to-be city is still being built and planned right now however those behind the project are saying that the city would be complete with having 50,000 residents as well as 1500 business establishments.

I’m getting excited.

Isn’t it interesting that this should happen in the Middle East, oil capital of the world.

Very interesting. However, I do wonder how they will go about the zero waste and zero carbon issue…I mean, sure it’s a ’solar-energized’ city, but still a total ‘zero’ is difficult to achieve right?
