If you’re a parent, today’s news will sadden you. Greg Page, the yellow Wiggle, has confirmed that he is leaving the ultra-popular children’s group, The Wiggles, because he is suffering from orthostatic intolerance. Greg is in his mid-30’s which is the age group most commonly affected by this debilitating disease:
- Inability of the body to compensate for the effect of gravity on circulation
- An abnormal increase in heart rate when changing body positions.
- The cardiovascular system needs to strain in order to maintain blood pressure and blood flow to the brain
- Disruption to the general cardiovascular system leading to extreme fatigue, irregular heart beat, migraines, vision problems, and many other disabilities
It’s amazing Greg has been able to tolerate such an active lifestyle as being part of The Wiggles. Hopefully he’ll have the chance to rest and recuperate. We wish him all the best for a long hearty life.
