Grosgrain Style – book review

I mentioned a few days ago that I had received a review copy of John Loecke’s “Grosgrain Style”. I’ve finally had a chance to sit down and actually make something from the book :-)

Grosgrain Style is a great reference or project book, especially useful for beginning crafters. The instructions on how to tie different styles of bows is worth the price alone!

The book is divided up into different projects for different rooms. There are charming projects to accent your living room, kitchen & dining room – even grosgrain ribbon jewelery! Most of the projects are simple, and can be finished in an afternoon or less. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

I decided to try one of the projects from the book, a ribbon napkin ring:

I think it turned out quite well :-)

I’d definitely recommend Grosgrain Style for a entry level crafter, or for anyone who wanted some specialized projects for grosgrain ribbon.
