Although no injuries have been reported, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Vintage International Inc. have recalled National and Sanyo Hand-Held Hair Dryers.

One of several National/Sanyo hair dryers being recalled due to electrocution hazard
The hair dryers are being recalled because they lack an immersion protection device to prevent electrocution if the hair dryer falls into water. That’s important and required!
Identify Recalled Hair Dryers:
• Made of plastic and chrome
• Features a fold-up handle
• Sold in blue, pink, white and black colors
• Model numbers EH-5202, EH-5215, EH-5216, EH-7911, EH-7912, or EH-7913
• Has “National” and “Sanyo” on the hair dryer’s blower nozzle or handle
• Sold in Los Angeles, CA area from January 2007 through August 2008
CPSC advises consumers to stop using the recalled hair dryers right away. You can return them to the store where purchased for a full refund or free replacement.
You may contact Vintage International at (888) 711-4656 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
