Halloween Classics

I’ve already mentioned one of the Halloween favorites in our family, Mouse’s First Halloween.  But what are your favorites?

All during the month of October, I’ll be featuring my favorite Halloween children’s classics – as well as some new books featured to become staples on the bookcase.

I just moved this week so most of our books are packed up but my son received this amazingly beautifully illustrated book of Poe stories — but just for kids. The stories are the same but more spread out in the book along with the prints on every page. He likes it a lot. I liked those old Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark when I was a kid but I’m not that old so I don’t know that they’d count as classics.

When I was a kid The View From the Cherry Tree horrified me but that’s not Halloween based. I’m not helping I’ll go now.
