Hansel & Gretyl Cottage

July 21, 2006 by Ingrid

In the mood for a fairy tale home? The Hansel & Gretyl Cottage, a hop and a skip away from Seattle, rests in the beautiful Kitsap County.

The storybook home features five stone fireplaces, custom ceilings, custom windows and calls. In 2004, the cottage made the cover of the Storybook Homes calendar and has appeared in Country Living & Evening Magazine.

I believe it was last owned by Snow White’s great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandson.

(But don’t quote me on that).

That house has a nice energy about it. My only concern would be how close my neighbors are. I would have a house like that only in rural areas. It just wouldn’t feel right in the city.

  2. I like this house, but it’s not really my style. I do agree that it would be out of place in an urban setting though.

I think this house is great! It should be thought of as a cute tourist attraction for the kids. Kinda like a storybook… Goldilocks… three bears kinda tourist attraction.
