June 19 is Garfield the Cat Day. You could even say that it’s the cat’s birthday.
The Garfield comic, created by Jim Davis, first appeared on June 19, 1978 in 41 US newspapers. Today, Garfield appears in almost every newspaper around the world!

According to garfield.com, an estimated 263,000,000 people read the strip each day. That’s a lot of funny orange lasagna-eating cat.
