Hi, Elizabeth. My sister and I were just remembering the time we were on a trip (I think I was about 9 and she was 7) and our parents bought us a hula hoop to keep us entertained. We spent hours in a hotel room trying to figure out the thing.

Toys like this give us great times and happy memories. Thanks for the post!

I have a Nintendo Wii, which I love, but waited too long to get the Fit, so I must meantime make do with my real Hula Hoop. It is rather generously sized, and I can actually keep it going for 10 minutes or more at a time!

I too, am Nintendo deprived. All my hula-hooping has to be the real thing. Unfortunately I stink at it – even with a large hoop. And my mom eyes my attempts critically, “You know, I used to be a CHAMPION hula-hooper when I was younger.”

I assume by “younger” she doesn’t mean 44!
