Happy Deviled Egg Day

deviled eggs

One could only imagine that today, November 2nd, is National Deviled Egg Day.  Deviled Eggs or Eggs Mimosa is a common dish for both Americans and French alike.  Who would guess that we would share this party favorite.  It appears though that we can thank the ancient Romans for their fore-sight.

I personally love Deviled Eggs and look for them at every party I go to.  I am not the only one, just by observing that this appetizer is usually the first to go.

So in honor of this day I give to you the website devoted to the “Incredible, Edible” hors’doeuvres, www.deviledeggs.com.

The site covers the How-Tos, from boiling to filling, along with several recipes including one that might be great for the holidays, Crab Meat and Celery Deviled Eggs.

National Deviled Egg Day huh. Interesting. People will celebrate anything. I do like deviled eggs though. But no one else in my family does. So on the holidays I make like two or three :( It’s a sad affair. Poor lonely eggs.
