Happy Green Easter!

It’s raining here in Oregon – BUT I’m hoping that you and your family are getting outside on this Easter day; even if the weather is a bit funky where you are.
As you celebrate today, don’t forget that a few small steps can make your day more sustainable. Such as…
Save all your Easter gear. Baskets, Easter grass, plastic eggs, and ribbon can all be reused next year.
OR you could decide to ditch the plastic eggs (please recycle) and next year try something more sustainable like using hallow wooden Easter eggs instead (kids can paint them!), or even no eggs at all. Hide real eggs and just put small gifts and candy directly into the basket next year.
Compost all your Easter egg shells instead of tossing them in the trash.
If you used plastic grass, and next year want to use something more sustainable, don’t just toss that grass. Save it and reuse it as mail packing material for breakables.
What did your family do this year to have a greener Easter?
