Hard drive failure

computerFailing hard drives on your computer may not be directly related to being a working parent, but a properly running (read: not dead) computer is important to both you career and your kids.

Lifehacker lets us know how to tell when your hard drive is going to fail.

Let’s just say there’s been more than one time in my past where I wish I had read this and heeded the advice.

    With portable external hard drives as cheap and easy to use as ever, there is really no reason anybody should lose data any longer.

    If you have a PC (or a Mac) with important data, you should have a backup drive.
