Hassle Me

I found this very funny, and potentially useful, website called Hassleme.
You can sign up for this website to send you an email harassment for things you forget, procrastinate or put-off.
Some of the common ones on the site are:
- Go to the gym
- Write an entry in my diary
- Call your mother
- Go to the theatre
- Spend 5 hours doing something for society
- Practice the piano
- Go for a walk in the park
What’s even better/worse – funny, but intrusive – is that you can harass other people by signing up their email address.
Like you could send an email to your spouse to: go to the gym, change the oil in the car, mow the lawn, clean out the garage, give spouse a massage, etc.
Of course, turn-about is fair play so you might get some back that say something like: go to the gym, change the oil in the car, mow the lawn, clean out the garage, and give spouse a massage, etc.
Or send them to your children: call grandma, do your homework, clean your room.
Maybe this is the solution to nagging. You no longer have to nag in person if you do it via email right?
Then instead of tuning you out they can just hit delete - which brings us right back to where we are right?

That’s a neat little web site. I’ve been using something similar, Jott (www.jott.com). It will let you record a message from your phone and then it transcribes and emails it either to yourself or someone else. So, when you’re in the middle of the grocery store at 10PM and suddenly remember that you need to schedule a babysitter for Friday, you can just Jott yourself a reminder to do that.
Like you said, it can still be defeated by the delete button, but it works for me.
Hello,
Thanks for the kind words about hassleme. One quick note – the address is http://www.hassleme.co.uk/ – not .com.

Thanks for the correction – all fixed now.
