Have a Cookie

healthy cookies

If you put on the blinders when you hit the cookie aisle, it’s time to take them off. The happy truth is there are lots of healthy cookies that make perfect sweet treats for the whole family. Some of our picks are designed to be healthier (with reduced calories, fat, saturated fat, and sugar), but some old standbys are included because they simply have great ingredient lists and nutrition numbers. You’ll notice a lot of Nabisco products on the list so kudos to them for creating the largest selection of healthy cookies on the market. Nabisco DOES have some competition, so take those blinders off and discover what the cookie aisle has to offer.

Lets face it… cookies are part of being a kid. I still have fond memories of those peanut butter cookies that Mrs. Huntington down the road use to make. That was before we started to worry about how much fat and sugar was involved. Luckily, we can offer healthier treats to our kids.

Actually, from looking at the list… they all seem pretty good!

My favorite cookie recipe…and no, it’s not healthy!

    1 pk oreos, crushed
    1 pk cream cheese, softened

    Combine, make small balls, Chill.

Melt White or Milk Chocolate in the microwave and dip the balls in the coating. Refrigerate!
