Have blog, will beg for comments
Crap, so I pretty much forgot that we were having a friendly little who-can-get-the-most-comments type contest here at the b5 Science and Health channel during the month of February. While I don’t expect to win (especially since my strategery has been so lacking up till now), it would be nice to make a decent showing.
So if you’re reading this, and have something to say (and frankly, even if you don’t), now’s the time to do it! I’ll be sure to ask you lots of questions in the upcoming posts, too.
So what’s on your mind, Veggie Chic readers? Any topics you’d like to see covered here? Anything pissing you off these days? Just want to say hi? Let me know in the comments – I’m all ears!

*delurking* *waves* *love your blog* =)
Aaaw, thanks for delurking, oots! You made my day.
Thanks for an awesome blog … I catch up on all my veggie news here at your site.
Delurking to say hi, and I enjoy reading your blog!
Stopping by to say hi!
Look… up in the sky… it’s an eclipse!
I agree with VnV – you’re one of my favorite blogs and I check in almost daily!
And, yeah, Foodeater, how nifty is that?? I love that geeky science/astronomy stuff.
So… what are the rules for this little contest you’re in? Does it count if I comment, like, 50 times on one article? Do I have to use different email addresses/IPs? I’m sure we can fix it so you win!
Yay, thanks, guys! I was worried with the server issues last night that no one was getting to see this post. I really appreciate you commenting AND the super-nice things you have to say about Veggie Chic.
Lisa – I think all legitimate comments count, even if there are many from the same person. So feel free to keep commenting away.
Hi Jul,
Love your Blog. I read it every day. I especially like the great food pictures.
Love your blog! Keep up the great work, I look forward to it daily.
I think there should be a best vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe contest.
Keep on bloggin’ on.
Seen as I’m flinging comments around all over your site at the moment, I’ll add another here to make it count! I’m having a delurking day!
Thanks for all the comments! I should have asked you guys to speak up earlier!
And thanks for delurking with a vengeance, Half Pint Pixie!
Hey, i’m chiming in. It’s raining mad here right now, im online and commenting away on loadfuls of blogs. (and blogging.)
Since you’re taking requests, how about some posts on animal stories, i love those. You know like animal hero stories, where like a dog (or cat or pig or horse, etc) saves the life of its owner. I believe they have an Animal Planet show like this. I love reading about heroic pets.
Maybe i should do some on my veggie blog. lol. I think i will, but you too should do some. Im sure you’re readers will love it.
Oh! one more thing, how about a groovy contest. The prize can be something like an eco wallet or hemp candle, etc.
Something easy and quick, but good. I vote for a “Veggie Chic Contest”. Anyone else?
Keep up the good work. I especially like the links since they are articles I would have never come across otherwise.
As for a suggestion: I would be curious how your vegetarian readers deal with friends who are carnivores and feel the need to explain why meat is good.
I’m not even a vegetarian, but I experience negative energy when I order vegetarian meals at restaurants with friends. It’s funny to hear the childish responses–from otherwise very smart people!
Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestions, Missy and Presh! I’ve actually been thinking about doing a contest for a while; I just haven’t gotten organized enough with the prize. I’ll work on that.
Presh – that sucks that you’re getting negative energy from your friends about vegetarian choices! I’ll ask my readers in a new post about whether they experience the same thing, and how they handle it (and share some stories of my own).
I’m following your suggestions for hummus as I type this note. Thanks for everything you put together on this site. My husband and I split our time between Berlin and Colorado/Montana, so your int’l perspective is especially enjoyed through my RSS. Thank you.
Berlin is possibly my favorite city ever! And Montana’s not too bad, either (my husband has relatives there). Glad you like my hummus tips.
