Have you ever heard of Sever’s disease? Hint: It affects children

If you said no, you’re not alone. I’d never heard of it either. If you said yes, I hope it’s not because you or one of your children experienced it.

According to Medical News Today, Sever’s Disease or Calcaneal Apophysitis, is an overuse foot injury that most often affects active children between 9 and 14 years old. The pain is at the back of the heel and is worst after the child has been active, running and jumping.
