Food Synergy is mixing certain foods together helps them interact and can provide extra disease fighting benefits. The first time I heard the term was on the John Tesh Radio Show. (Which I’m a huge fan of by the way.) It caught my attention, so I had to go find out more.

Here are some of the foods I found that make wonderful disease fighting combinations:
- My favorite is dark chocolate and apples. This winning combination can help you fight inflamation. Make sure you leave the skins on the apples, most of their disease fighting properties is in that outer layer.
- Another combination they mentioned on the radio show is natural peanut butter with 100% whole wheat to help build muscle.
- Tomatoes and olive oil, again with the peel on, and even better if you cook the tomatoes.
Here are a few good resources you can check out if you’re like me and would like to learn more about food synergy.
