Have You Run Out Of Supplies In The Past?

I have to ask this question as I have seen it all too much lately, and it bothers me! Have you ever allowed your diabetes supplies, ie. insulin, needles, infusion bag, test strips, run out. Not gotten down to the bare minimum but totally run out? I will not judge but I am curious…

I’ve run out right now and am trying to find a way to sort this out. I was having my insulin last night and there were only 6 units in my pen, I take 34 at night. I searched but there were no more pens. Its Sunday so the chemist and doctors surgery are closed. I have some to collect from the chemist store so am hoping that another store might lend me some but obviously I will need to prove that I am diabetic, have some coming to give them back!! Heck I don’t believe I allowed this to happen, so embarrassing !! I have my daytime insulin, fast acting, so will be able to manage until Monday should I have to but still this isn’t good !
