Have you taken up knitting?

I came across this theory that knitting helps keep you ‘celibate’ during that stage in your dating life wherein you just want to take a step back and re-assess things.

Sometimes, we do dive into the whole dating scene head first, which as you would expect will incur unnecessary wounds and headaches (to say the least). And as the years pass, meeting one person after the other. Experiencing heartbreaks which will drain you to the point that you would want to drop everything for a while, focus your energies on something else — a hobby, a sport — as long as it’s done alone.

According to the theory, knitting works wonders in keeping yourself pre-occupied, keeping your mind off of sex. It’s probably due to having both hands busy, which a specific goal, i.e. knit a sweater, in a short period of time. You need to concentrate in order to successfully finish one.

Then again, it’s just me trying to put a definition to the whole thing. I still wonder at the effectiveness of the task. So, have any of you guys thought of taking up knitting? Perhaps you can provide clarity.
