Have You Tried It? The Peticure Nail Groomer

Have you tried the Peticure? I was intrigued when I saw the commercials for it. I hate trimming the dogs’ nails because Chip freaks out no matter if he’s hurt or not. The thought of being able to calmly groom them both is a nice idea!
I tried to order one, but it gave me a wait time of about nine weeks. So that was out the window. I tried emailing for more information and never heard back either. The only time I got any kind of response was when I wrote to cancel the order. It also doesn’t get terribly good reviews in general because of poor battery power.
I’ve considered the Dremel pet grooming attachment but while it has some good reviews it also has some equally poor ones.
Have you tried a rotary nail gadget for your pets? What did you think? What do you recommend?

I tried my dremel (without the peticure attachment) on Theo’s nails for the first time just last weekend. Like you I just couldn’t stand cutting his nails because it was always such a battle. I couldn’t believe it, but Theo was actually very relaxed the whole time we were using it. We tested it out on some wood first to get him used to the sound, then we made sure to give him lots of treats while filing his nails. He seemed happy to just lay back and eat! Hehe.
I’ve gathered that the peticure attachment is mainly to keep all the nail dust inside the plastic cup so you don’t have a huge mess. That makes sense to me if it actually works.
I have almost always had my dog’s nails trimmed at the Vet. I would like to be able to do this myself, especially because we travel in our rv so much. It would be really practical for my purposes. It looks like a top-notch product.
