All thanks to Sunetric Hawaii. If not for the company, a solar farm would not be seen in Hawaii’s Wilcox Memorial Hospital. This hospital can be found in Kauai, Hawaii.

The project is actually the brainchild of the Hawaii Pacific Health Partners. Reports say that this solar farm in the Wilcox Memorial Hospital is actually the very first in a hospital in the mentioned state. It is also the second largest in all solar farms in Hawaii, as Sunetric had mentioned in a news report.

What the solar farm will do is take the sun’s rays and use it to supply power to the hospital. It is estimated that when the sun shines brightly, the whole solar farm will bring in at least 52% of the total power needs of the hospital. This solar farm is actually 500 kW.

With this kind of solar project, one can say that the hospital will surely be spending less on energy and electricity bills. The money they save, they sure can use to further improve their services.
