I was playing with him and lifted him up to make his nose touch mine and then he broke into what sounded like a thousand sweet wind-chimes tinkling in harmony. I didn't think I'll be like that. I didn't think I'd care about milestones and about that whole "Look! He's looking at me not just because he happens to look this way but because he actually decides to look at me!" And then, when he laughed for the first time, I couldn't believe it. I had to wait for the second time, just to be sure I wasn't imagining it. Don't be hard on yourself just because I made my son laugh earlier, though. I'm very funny with a zipper.
