This is a great list. I am sure it did take some time. I spent a lot of time doing the same thing last year and got frustrated that I could not find a one-stop shop- so I created one. I launched http://www.GiggleFliggle.com, where we sell American made toys and a few European toys. We have a couple of the manufactures from your list and a few more. I discovered Mahar Dry Goods through you. Their stuff is fabulous. Before ordering from them I searched for reviews about the company, all were good.
I placed an order two months ago and was told it would ship in 7 days. I have never received it. Nor have I received any response to the several emails I sent inquiring about it, asking for a refund…
I am now finding very recent reviews from people who are having the same experience. I don’t know what is going on with this company, but I really discourage anyone from shopping with them. They are not cheap….I am out a good chunk of money. I am just thankful I didn’t splurge for some of their furniture.

Great list. I see you have Melissa and Doug listed though, if you’re intent is to have this list be lead free you might want to consider removing them as they have had a couple of lead paint recalls in the past six months. I think it was only two recalls but I find it very hard to believe it’s only two, once one lead paint recall hits it’s not long before the list starts rolling in if you know what I mean. Other than that though fab list.
