How did solar power help out these folks from Healy Heights?

It came in the form of a partnership between NeighborImpact and Cascade Sun Works. They put in solar water heaters in eight of the apartments that you can find in Healy Heights.

“We can get the energy from the sun for free for that which we currently pay Pacific Power $25 dollars a month for,” expresses Colleen Neel. Neel is the Home Weatherization Specialist and he does further continue that using solar heaters, a person could save as much as 80% compared to using electric water heaters. This simply means that in essence, those who did have solar heaters were able to save much.

One resident, Linda Abbott, shares that the solar heaters are going to help her send her daughter to college. After all, she explains, an 80% savings is going to be a great help compared to no savings at all.
