heart-felt cards

These are one of my favorite Valentine’s day projects (it’s actually one of the classes I teach)  These cards are made from different colors of felt & embroidered with simple running stitches.  Pinking shears add a nice detail to the edges – but don’t worry if you don’t have a pair!  I use pre-folded blank cards (my local craft store carries them in bulk packs)

I also glued on a few little heart-shaped buttons as well :-)

Have fun & play with different layouts!  Felt is great for projects like this because it’s easy to embroider and won’t fray.
