heart shaped yo-yos

I apologize if you couldn’t access my blog last night. We had some hiccups in the tech end of things!
I came across a really neat blog entry the other day: Cyndi at Layers Upon Layers found a pattern to make heart shaped yo-yo circles!
I love making yo-yos, and in fact I normally make several feet of garlands every year for my Christmas trees using them.
I had to try using Penny Sanford’s pattern & here’s the result of my first attempt:
I still need to work a little on shaping – but I love the potential for this technique!

If you like yo-yo’s I read on another blog that Clover is coming out with somes templates to make flower shaped yo-yos (as well as hearts and different sizes of regular circular ones). I think they will be available in June. The flower one looks really neat. Oh – the blog is Lazy Girl Designs – she’s a purse/bag designer.
