She doesn't seem to understand that women generally have bigger butts than men and that's why those droopy men's briefs cover her whole butt whereas they're droopy and saggy on most men. Panties fit me better because they aren't as droopy. Now, some guys are more plump in the rump but most of us are not. I'm all for women wearing men's underwear. They can't deny us panties if they're wearing ours. I'm sure plenty of women will try to anyway, though. Plus, that means more panties for us to choose from.

She also doesn't seem to know much about gender, either. Generally men are socialized in a way that discourages complaining about their clothes because that would make them "woman like." And, of course, much of our society still believes that to be like a woman is to be less of a man. This is why guys don't generally complain about their clothes or underwear. If a pair of briefs is itching a guy's balls, he doesn't complain about it, he just scratches them. And the cotton used in those briefs and boxers are the reason why they're scratching. Boxers always rode up and briefs were always too itchy. I never get itchy wearing nylon panties and they never ride the way boxers did.

And lastly, Sex In the City does not empower women. I will repeat this, Sex In the City DOES NOT empower women. They're a bunch of middle aged women acting like men. This only reinforces the idea that maleness and masculinity is the "ultimate, higher standard" that all must conform to and sends the message that if women want to succeed in the world they have to conform to the standards of men. But it still keeps femaleness and femininity relegated to that "lesser" position. Like I've said a million times, make it socially acceptable for straight men to be feminine in their gender expression and you women will have your equality. It's not rocket science folks.

I read this with a little chuckle, because I am just the opposite of you. I am a male that much prefers the female panties! I have been wearing panties for over 4 years now, and will never switch back to the male "tightie whities". To me the panteis are much more comfortable and they come in so many different styles and fabrics, and colors. I started when my ex poured a bottle full of bleach in my whites just before we split up. My briefs and t-shirts fell apart in my hands and I had to buy new ones. At the time I was wearing a size 56 waist and for those briefs I had to go to a big man's shop and pay about$30 for a package of two briefs!!! I went to the Hanes outles store to see if they ahd men's briefs in my size, but alas they did not. I then asked the sales woman if they had any women's cotton panties that would fit me. She was a little surprised and asked if I was serious, and I sad why not, it is only underwear. So she showed me what she had available and I bought a few packages, if I remember they were about $7 for a package of three. I found that not only did they work, they were a lot more comfortable. I now own about 50 pairs of panties in different styles and fabrics and colors, and wear them 24/7. I wear them to doctors appointmenst, and even had a nurse tell me that she liked my choice in panties. I now am able to wear a size 8 pantie, and yes I could swhitch back to men's briefs, but panties are just toooo comfortable.

What a wonderful 'stumble'! The husband is looking at me as I wipe tears of laughter from my face now, but wait till he sees me in my tightie whities! I've pondered many a day (as I removed my wedgies) why female undies had such tight uncomfortable elastic in the legs and mens comfy cotton undies didn't (?). They have body parts that will fall out, we don't! ;-)

I am a convert now, it's off to do some shopping for new drawers, and some fabric dye while I'm at it.

"I happen to be feminine..."

Subtle slam, you think?

Regardless, kudos to the boxer/brief wearers! I'll definitely have to try that out. Also, Faceman, your lady is one lucky woman. You sound like a great fellow.

I have no ass, no matter which underwear i use, they ALL ride up, I try to stick to thongs because at least that way it seems deliberate and doesn't make me look like i'm wearing shorts underneath a skirt or jeans.

[...] But the thought of never having to buy tampons and pads again pulled me in. As much as I’d like to declare that it’s because I’m terribly concerned with how my period impacts the environment, it’s really because I’m terribly concerned with how my period impacts my underwear.
I happen to be feminine, and like feeling sexy in female panties.
I have never had a problem with them not fitting correctly.

I never thought of this!

I've been putting up with thongs and always assumed my butt was just too big for women's underwear. Thongs are impractical during "certain times" and generally pretty uncomfortable -- thank you, thank you, thank you for the new idea!
