Hillary Still President?

I went to a new bookclub meeting last night and some ladies were talking about still holding out for Hillary being the next President. (Interestingly, one of them described herself as a Republican and the other said she and her husband were “very conservative.”)

“Something could happen,” they said.

So I started thinking, “what could happen between now and the Democratic National Convention that would make Hillary the winner?”

* Barack Obama could die, thus leaving her the only candidate on the ballot at the convention.

* Barack Obama could announce that he cheated on Michelle while she was pregnant with one of their daughters. (Wait, no we’re still allowing McCain to run on this adultery platform, so I guess he would have to have murdered his mistress to actual shock us enough to exclude him for philandering. Or does that exemption only apply to Republicans?) This would result in him backing out or most of the Barack delegates shifting sides.

It’s a pretty long shot. But, I still have hope that Barack will ask her to be the Vice President.

I can’t think of anymore scenarios where Hillary would have enough delegates to win the Democratic National Convention.

Can you?

I can’t imagine what she could possibly gain from this whole scenario. Umm, HRC? The horse? Is.Dead. Put down your broomstick and let the thing rest in peace.

Philandering is only a valid moral choice for Republicans, especially the higher up they go; it is absolutely a non-sequitur for Democrats. Apparently since Republicans don’t think that Democrats have morals, they are held to a higher moral standard.

It’s time for Hillary and her supporters to move on. What, it won’t be hard enough to get Obama elected?

I love it when women call other strong women a witch. It’s so empowering for the rest of us.

  4. Pamela says:

Sorry, I meant broomstick as in item to beat horse, not a witch reference. I chose broomstick because it’s something everyone has. Guess I should have chosen a different item.
