‘Tis the season to be…hearty? Cardiologists call it “holiday heart.” More people around this time of year tend to have heart attacks and experience irregular heart beats. Here are the reasons Dr. Gordon Boak, chief of cardiology at Jersey Shore University Hospital, says tend to cause holiday heart.
- Stress and fatigue
- The cold
- Bad diet and alcohol consumption
- The flu, sniffles, and other infections
- Shoveling snow after a big meal (or shoveling BS at work
)
So take it easy this holiday season. After all, it’s a wonderful life.
