Home Remedies to Cure a Hangover

Some of you all are going to thank me for this in a couple of days, trust me.

In order to cure a hangover you should understand some of the things that cause it.

Booze, too much booze is the main culprit.  If you stay away from that you pretty much have it licked.

The other thing is dehydration.  Alcohol dehydrates the body and too much alcohol can drop your mineral and electrolyte levels badly.  Be sure to drink lots of water for the whole day before you know you are going to drink.  Try to drink water in between alcoholic beverages.  And then, if you are not throwing up, drink more water when you get home.

If you do all of that and still wake up with a hangover try one of these remedies:

  • Take a hot shower
  • Sip gatorade
  • Sip tomato juice
  • Eat eggs for breakfast
  • Take ginger, zinc and magneseum.
  • Have hot and sour soup for lunch and try to sleep it off.

WHile you may want to cease to exist, the truth is that noone ever died form a hangover.  Sleeping it off and drinking losts of tomato juice are great choices.

  1. Water and aspirin has always done the trick for me, but then again, I’ve only been stupid drunk once in my entire 27 years. I can vouch for the gatorade method too. It almost always helps me get rid of a headache, alcohol induced or not.
