Nearly everyone needs a home remedy for a toothache at one point or another. You wake up at 2 in the morning, your face is throbbing…agony! What to do?
I know it is an old wives tale that your teeth weaken with pregnancy but I can tell you that between not having insurance and numerous pregnancies my teeth have often been painful.
I can tell you that I have tried nearly every remedy that there is and there is only one remedy that I will say works. It works every time. ALL the time.
Clove oil.
You can get clove oil in most pharmacies, although you may have to ask where it is. It comes in a very small bottle and is only a few dollars.
Take a drop of clove oil on a cotton swab and insert it in the cavity that is throbbing. Hold it there for a minute. It will totally numb the area and it is antibacterial so it will fight the infection too.
Clove oil is the best remedy for toothaches I know of. It never goes bad, a small bottle will last for eternity. It is great stuff to keep on hand..in case..you know…ouch.
Clove oil is good for alot more..but I am going to deal with that another time.
