Lan…you have to keep it dry so you need powdered citric acid..you may be able to find it in the canning section of the grocers OR in the soap making section of craft stores like Hobby Lobby.
Coconut oil…ANY health food store should have it.

this is now on my list of things to make for xmas this year. where can i find coconut oil, without having to order it online? also, when you say citric acid, can i just use a lemon juice?

Marye, I will have to check out those websites, since I am getting the soapmaking bug again. You should check out two of my favorites sites… hopefully it’s okay to post them here… sweetcakes.com for fragrance oils and From Nature With Love… I think that one is fnwl.com but if it’s not, just google FNWL has just about everything you would need to make soap, bath bombs, lotions, lip balm etc.
