Homemade Gelato

While searching around for information on a post I did over at Chocolate Bytes this morning, I got to thinking about gelato and if it’s possible to make it at home.
Happily, it is! One site that I found has a tutorial with pictures on how to make fruit gelato using an electric home ice cream maker.
These recipes for vanilla gelato, with the first being more of a traditional gelato and the second more of a custardy ice cream. The banana gelato looks intriguing but I’m not big on banana ice cream, so I may pass on this one!
Gelatorecipes4u has some tasty looking recipes to try, including pineapple gelato, pumpkin gelato, and chocolate gelato.
