Horrible Real Age Confession

Remember back in January when I took the Real Age test? At that time it gave me a real age of 26.1, a difference of 1.2 years older than my calendar age.
It’s been more than 6 months, so I figured it was time to take the test again and see how I’m doing. Bad idea! NOW my real age is 2.7 years older than my calendar age! In other words, I seem to have aged a year and a half in 6 and a half months. This is bad news.
And I’m not sure exactly why I’m aging so fast. My suspicion is that it’s a combination of not eating breakfast (terrible, I know), increasing my red meat intake (we had a traveling meat salesman visit a few months ago, so how could I say no to that?), and higher stress levels over the last few months in dealing with the move and the subsequent financial hit from having taken a pretty hefty amount of time off work. That, and continuing to exercise far less than I should.
So I’m a little freaked out, I have to admit!
But I’ve started walking every day again and I’m looking into seeing a nutritionist, which is covered by our insurance I’ve learned. Hopefully I can turn this thing around!
What’s your “real age”? and report back in the comments.

My chronological age is 48.1; my “real age” is 46.4. That’s despite the fact that I need to lose 129 pounds and have a high risk of eventually developing heart disease and type 2 diabetes (family medical history). What balances all of that is that I am now eating well (most of the time) and exercising 7 days a week. I have lost 13 pounds in less than 1 month, so I’m off to a good start. I’m blogging about my progress: http://edit-body.blogspot.com/
