Hot Claw Colors for Fall

candycorncat3.jpg We’re big fans of Soft Paws. I think they provide a great alternative to declawing while still keeping the cats from shredding the couch.

I know they don’t work for everyone, but we’ve used them for so long that it’s just second nature for us and the cats don’t mind them.

They do take some getting used to – both for the person putting them on and the cat wearing them, but don’t let yourself get discouraged and you might be pleasantly surprised!

Anyway, Soft Paws have been launching some fun seasonal colors for about the last year, and the email I got today made me wish we hadn’t just ordered a new supply – they have candy corn colors! There is also a pretty red and orange combo for fall, and you can order red and green ones for the holidays.

We’ve tried Soft Paws on the dogs but actually weren’t crazy about them. Dogs don’t shed their claws like cats do and we found that the caps stayed on a lot longer than we liked and we ended up having to blindly snip them off since we couldn’t see the quick.

Have you ever used Soft Paws? What did you think of them?

Hmm. Are they easy for the cat to chew off?
