In a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans receiver Harry Williams, 26, collided with a teammate and severely injured his spine. He required surgery to repair and stabilize the spine in the lower neck and upper back.
It is expected that Williams will walk again, but it’s highly unlikely that he will be able to play football again.
Williams isn’t the first player from this team to experience such an injury. In September, defensive tackle Cedric Killings also injured his spine at the C4 level, the upper back.
