Sunday, September 13 is Grandparents’ Day…time to spend with or at least remember your grandparents. A fairly recent day of recognition, this holiday helps bring families together and create memories.

How you celebrate with your grandparents depends on your and their age, the logistics of where each of you lives, the methods of communication you each have if you live some distance.
Even if you can’t spend the day with grandparents, you can create memories.
- Use Skype or similar method of communication so you can see one another while you chat online.
- Share photos via e-mail or Facebook.
- Make a phone call.
- Have dinner with them.
- Take a walk.
- Work at a craft.
- Make scrapbook pages of grandparents in your family over the years.
What are you doing for Grandparents’ Day? How have you celebrated in the past?

This was truly delightful. Thank you for sharing
I would like to share the news about an incredible new service that strengthens the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Grandchild Connection allows distant grandparents and grandchildren to develop close, meaningful relationships by utilizing today’s technology of video conferencing. As part of the “VideoVisit” experience, we coach grandparents in educational and social activities that enhance the bonds they share with their grandchildren, and we provide the tools to achieve that end.
