How can You Tell if a Guy is Just Feeding You Lines?

To be honest, I, myself, am not certain of the answer. But let me tell you about my observations and theories. Er, a few of them, at least.

Experiment.

Often times, guys rely on formulas. It’s like since they know that it worked on a certain girl before, they’d use the same approach again. They even resort to mimicking actors’ lines in the hope that the guy would buy it. I mean, perhaps dishing out a line or two to improve your game will help increase the possibility of scoring but I’m telling you, if it’s a worn out tactic you’re using, it’s going to bomb out.

Take out the cheese.

There’s a line between being sweet and complimentary AND being saccharine sweet that would make the woman blush, bordering on a cross between embarrassment and humiliation. Heh.

Eye contact.

I’m a firm believer of the eyes being the window to one’s soul. You can tell a lot of things when you look into a person’s eye.

Bottomline, for us women, we need to learn how to trust our gut sometimes. You can sometimes tell from that first few seconds if you and that guy would click. However, I do know that attraction will make it difficult to read the situation properly. But I sure hope that we’d be wise enough to sift through the good chaff from the bad ones.

Any idea on how to answer this question? How can YOU tell if a guy is just feeding you lines? Let us know.
