How Did We 80s Kids Survive?

In a disturbing look-back, I-Mockery looks at Dinosaurs Attack!, an 80s card collection for kids:

Barney the dog gets squashed under the foot of a giant dinosaur while his youthful owner covers her eyes in terror. Killing a little girl’s puppy? Nothing was taboo with these trading cards, and that’s why I love ‘em so much.

Of course, they’ve got nothing on the Garbage Pail Kids, but then again, is that a bad thing?

I really miss when kids could have some good old non-PC fun. Could you imagine the warning stickers that would have to go on cards like that if they were being sold today?

LOL, I know. What fun tho…

I don’t remember the Dinosaurs Attacks cards, but I do remember the Garbage Pail Kids (vaguely). I never had any trading cards. Those were luxury type items in my house. Things certainly were different back then. I do miss how much more simple things were.

    simple and gross ;0)
