How Do You Deal With Progress?

Progress

The world is changing, moving ahead, at a constant and crazy pace. Most of us struggle to keep up with new technology as it becomes available, but do adapt quite well when there is no longer any other alternative. All this change is often called progress. But is the busy pace of life, the constant upgrading and adapting really what progress is supposed to be?

Spend some time writing in your journal about progress. Do you embrace it? Do you take on board new technology easily and quickly find a place for it in your life? Do you enjoy the changes taking place in your hometown or place of residence, when streets and buildings are destroyed to make way for bigger and newer roads and buildings? Do you have a wait and see mentality? Do you avoid being confronted with progress? Do you loathe making the changes as they come to you?

If you feel strongly enough about this topic take your journal entry another step by writing a letter to the editor of your local paper. Use your journal entry to sound out all your opinions and arguments. I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please leave any comments in the section below.
