How Green? Let ETA Tell You.

In the United Kingdom, ETA is offering services for all consumers. The group is saying that they would gladly give out vehicle inspections so that you would know if the vehicle that you are eyeing to own is green enough to not further harm our environment.
The group furthermore claims that their inspection procedures are comprehensive and it does not matter if you would be buying a vehicle hot off the manufacturing facility or one that has already been used.
How do they go about doing such and what do they actually check? Here’s a quick rundown of what ETA checks, according to their site.
Our green vehicle inspection includes:
- Examination of
- Body Exterior
- Engine Compartment
- Electrical Controls
- Interior/Luggage Compartment
- Front Suspension/Steering/Under frame
- Rear suspension/Under Frame
- Clutch/Transmission
- Exhaust System
- Fuel System
- Brakes
- Wheels and Tyres
- Road Test
- Full document checks
- Hire Purchase Inspection (HPI) to ensure that the vehicle has not been stolen or has any outstanding hire purchase agreements on it
- A written report and financial valuation at the site of inspection
I think that’s fair enough and with ETA being one of the authorities when it comes to being green, I’ll most probably go with their inspection procedures.
