How is the Body Affected by Diabetes?

I came across this video about what exactly happens in the body when you are not a diabetic, and when you have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

It’s important for people to understand how diabetes works in the body. It isn’t just a matter of people being overweight or out of shape (as some people mistakenly believe.) Rather, the body doesn’t process the food properly, namely the carbs and sugar. Here is a really great illustration of what happens in a diabetic body, and in a healthy body. Enjoy this clip:
