How to Clean a Kitchen Granite Bench Top

I’ve always wanted to have a granite bench top in our kitchen. When we were renovating our kitchen, I tried in vain to convince the Husband to agree to changing our laminate bench top to granite. Alas, I didn’t win that battle. I have to admit that I don’t feel too bad about not ‘winning the battle’ as given that we have too much bench top, it would’ve cost us a fortune if we had to replace our bench space with granite.

To those who are lucky enough to have granite bench tops, here is some tips on how to look after them. With the proper care, your granite or marble countertop will stay new-looking for years. Stone is one of the easiest surfaces to maintain. And granite, being 7 on the Mohs hardness scale of 1 to 10, is virtually unscratchable.
