Technique Tuesday!
These simple collages make excellent backgrounds for either more physical collage work or for digital work on a scanned copy.
Materials & Tools:
Large sheet of heavy watercolor paper
Selection of colored and decorative papers, stock paper weight
Matte medium
Foam brush
Waxed paper
Exacto knife
Clear plastic measure
Cutting board

Wow I like that! Now this is something I could do
Of course you could! LOL!! Wait till you see what we end up doing *with* it!
Another great technique. And what a great idea to scan and alter. Love it!
Thank you, Christy! I keep a high resolution file in a computer folder of all the backgrounds that I think might have future digital potential
Very pretty … and so easy! Thanks Cyndi!
I am sooo excited finding your website. I saw a torn paper landscape abour 15 years ago at an art show. I fell in love with it. Now im 60 years old and have some time to attempt one myself. Im just a bit overwhelmed…..where do I begin?
Thanks for your help

Hi Mary Jane! Don’t be intimidated…this is easy and fun to do. Just pick some papers in colors that look good together and figure out what order you want them to lie in. Then start tearing them up!! Have fun and don’t let them boss you around
