How to manage kids in a home office

office.jpgWeb Worker Daily gives some tips regarding how to manage kids in a home office.

I salute those of you who work at home with children.

Though I don’t work full time from home, I do need to do some online work in the evenings and on weekends. I try very hard to do it after they go to bed, or, during natural “downtime” during the day. However, sometimes I don’t feel like I’m serving either my children or my work very well.

I suppose I ought to read the article, though, as I am coming to you live from my bathroom floor, seeing as it’s the only place that I can get any peace long enough to complete a thought.

I do the same, work during naptime or after the kids are asleep. I actually have the option to work SOME from home during the day but I rarely take them up on it. I usually do that when the kids are home sick and asleep. There is just something about physically sitting at my desk and being in my office that I actually prefer.

  2. I sometimes give my son art projects so that he can do them in the office with me. That usually works or I just wing it.

I’m impressed-you found time alone in the bathroom. I need some tips on how to do that too! If it isn’t the 3 year old, it is the cats or husband. I need to invest in some locks…
I don’t think that’d work either, though. I could still hear the yelling!
