How Was Your Christmas?

Ours was quiet.

Our oldest daugher, son in law and the grandkids came over, as well as some close friends, and we enjoyed a pretty quiet afternoon of just being together, talking and eating. Like so many things seem to be lately it was uneventful and calm, not something I am real used to.

I am working on being more even, less intense and more mature about things.  I am not sure I like it but it does have its advantages I suppose.  I didn’t get stressed about the food or forgetting an ornament for one of the kids, I didn’t call myself stupid at all and I didn’t take it personally when our 8 year old ran out of the room crying because he decided he liked his older brother’s bioncles better than the ones he got.

I was controlled, mature, and level headed.

That is a big step for me.

Now, the girl in the following video should learn a lesson from me..

The guy needs to learn a lesson or two as well.

Same scene here. Was it a row over the Barraki Bionicle?

Christmas was actually great this year. My oldest son, who just turned 7 on NY’s Day is just at the right age where things are magical. Won’t last, so I’m taking it all in.

I think it was over the bionicle ship that was a special offer from Target?
