Human-Powered Rider Mower

This thing rocks! I love push reel mowers, but when you’ve got over half an acre of lawn like I do, they become a bit tedious. Most of my neighbours may have big fancy gas-powered rider mowers, but I’d prefer one of these any day.

Unfortunately, I don’t know any welders. I wonder if I could make one with duct tape? ;)

OK, so I know this post is a bit old, but i just discovered your site. I love this pic! I currently don’t mow, but when I do, I would love a push type. However, you raise an interesting point that if your yard is too big, hat are you supposed to do. This solves it. I don’t think it would be too much to get someone to do this for you. Awesome!

Actually this thing will not work, because the friction between the cutting blades and the grass will be too much. There was a show in Discovery about this, they failed.

Maybe a rotary blade will work?
